This morning on my way to university, there was a story on the radio about a study done by an American university about the connection between the price of tobacco and young men’s alcohol intake. Apparently 10% of young men drink less when they are out if they can’t afford to smoke along with it.
Okay, that’s not the stupid part. That’s actually pretty good. No, what made me cringe was the how the anchor ended this sequence. When the female journalist who was phoning in was done talking about the study, he said:
“Okay. This story was inhaled by Sarah Andersen. And now, (…) “.
Like, what does that even mean? How does that make ANY sense? That’s so freaking dumb that I can’t even believe someone had the mind (or lack of it) to say something that stupid and lame. Maybe my feelings are disproportional to the nature of this offense, but it seriously pissed me off that they allow people like this on the radio. It’s not like it’s any better on the television, though. It’s like stupidity all over.
